Micromax has announced that it would be rolling out Android 4.1 jelly bean update for A110 Canvas 2 users on 13th of March. As one of the most popular devices from stable of micromax, the A110 Canvas 2 hit amongst the masses and the level of popularity can be judged from the fact till recently.
Launched in October 2012 ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and it is still quite in demand in spite of its successor Micromax A116 Canvas HD from hitting the market.
However, there is a catch in situation. Unlike Samsung, Sony or HTC, Micromax will not be rolling out an OTA(Over The Air) update for Canvas 2. Rather, Customers have to take their smartphone to the service center and customer service executive will do update for them. And it is confirmed that there will be no additional charge for this update.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will bring new features like :
1) Google Now
2) Offline voice typing
3) Expandable notification
4) Performance improvement
5) Smoother and faster interface and lot more.
So, these new features are included in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upadte and soon micromax will going to announce Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
